  • Quiet, swimming pool and olive trees

Beautiful villa lost in the middle of a beautiful olive grove. Huge pool and perfectly maintained twice a week. The owners are adorable and care about the well-being of the tenants before and during the stay: precise mails, telephone to give advices, detailed guide of the villa and the area proposed on the spot. A contact person is present on site and does everything to facilitate the stay of guests. All the photos correspond to the reality and make it possible to be well aware of the environment and the interior of the house. The city of Ostuni is 15 minutes away and offers all the amenities, besides being a cute little town. The only negative point (or not, depending on what you are looking for) is that the sights are 45 minutes or so so be prepared to do a little car. We spent a week in the villa and we had a lot of fun. We recommend this rental.

  • Magnifique endroit au milieu des oliviers
Très belle maison au calme et dans un environnement splendide. Piscine parfaite, maison bien équipée, ambiance décontractée et accueil très pro. Très bien centrée pour découvrir la région. A conseiller vivement !

  • Delightful Villa near Ostuni and Caravigno.
This villa was lovely, there were 2 folders explaining everything we needed to know about the villa and also the area which we found tremendously helpful. Check in and explanation was great and in English, what to do if we lost power etc. Having the manager on Whats App was good and she responded quickly to any concerns. It was very private, well maintained and serviced. The change of sheets and clean up half way through our stay was appreciated, as was the basket of local products and there was plenty of drinking water for us when we arrived. They recycle paper, plastic, glass and organic matter and have bins with enough bags that we did not have to go shopping and try to find biodegradable bags. The closest grocery store was Famila with a wine shop next door, if however you are trying to save on expenses I would totally recommend the new Euro Spa a few minutes past the Famila, all well signed and the weekly market in Carovigno (less busy than Ostuni) for fresh vegetables meat and cheeses. We did have a hiccup during our stay but it was rectified to our satisfaction. There was a booklet for recommendations for improvements I believe they take it seriously. One thing to remember is in Southern Italy is in the middle of the day nothing gets done quickly, relax and enjoy.

Great to be back in Ostuni and staying at Villa Tamburroni again. Wouldn't stay anywhere else!

  • A wonderfully comfortable and tranquil villa, with a fabulous pool, set in typical Puglia surroundings, but just a short drive from the facilities, restaurants and bars of both Ostuni and Caravigno. Meet and greet was excellent, as was the cleaning and laundry change. Thanks to the owners for a 'trulli' relaxing holiday, it was all over too quickly.

  • We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Tamburroni. From the moment we booked through to checkout everything was perfect. Dealing with Carly was easy and informative and Colleen who met us at the meeting point was great. The villa is lovely and traditional, spotlessly clean and ideal for a family getaway. The pool was amazing. We were also touched by the generous welcome hamper on arrival. All the information you need is clearly set out. We could not have asked for a more pleasant stay, Thank you Carly and John

  • Villa set in a quiet location down a little country lane but just a short drive to restaurants, bars, beaches etc. Carly and John are excellent hosts who really care about making sure their guests have a great holiday. The very large pool is a highlight of the villa and is well maintained. We enjoyed using the new barbeque and seating area and also appreciated Sky and wifi. We will be back next year!

  • Conveniently located near the lovely town of Ostuni in a very quiet location. Fairly private, large and immaculate swimming pool. The master bedroom with air-conditioning was very comfortable. The Tully bedroom was also comfortable although under 40 degrees c quite warm. The two single beds in the other air-conditioned bedroom were less comfortable but I am sure ideal for children. The family room (lounge + dinning) has a very large TV with satellite programs and DVD and a number of DVD to watch. Only down, some furniture, the cutlery and kitchen utensils are basic. Otherwise a place worth considering (sleeping up to 6 people)

  • We stayed for two weeks in the villa. It is located in a quiet area (no sounds of cars etc.) and it is not too far from shops, beaches etc. The villa offers a lot of privacy. Overall we enjoyed our stay !

The owners are very helpful and gave us a lot of information upfront; we appreciated this a lot. Property management is very responsive to any questions/issues. The pool was maintained twice a week and the result was crystal clear water all the time. The water truck came by once a week to top up the pool and the underground water storage. The large umbrellas near the pool provide shade, although they are not very wind resistant so you have to close them when the wind picks up to avoid damage.

The house was clean and well maintained. After a week it was cleaned again and we got new sheets, towels etc. Cleaning was done very well.

During the day, it was necessary to keep the shutters down and the entrance door closed to avoid that the kitchen and living room heat up too much. The trulli bedroom has an open connection with the living room so this bedroom also heats up (less than the other bedrooms). We would have liked to have aircon and/or big ceiling fans in the living room to provide cooling. During the second week of our stay, temperatures were very high (35-38C) so that did not help...

The kitchen and equipment was OK. Some more pans and especially a big frying pan woud have been welcome though.

Supermarkets are nearby (less than 10 minutes drive) and restaurants can be found in Carovigno and Ostuni. We preferred to go to Carovigno as Ostuni is very crowded and prices are higher.

Mosquitos can be quite annoying; this is common in the south of Italy. We would recommend visitors to take DEET (concentration of 40% at least) with them if you want to eat outside in the evening and you do not want to get stung. We did not find shops in the area where you can buy this product, only some others products with (much) lower DEET concentrations which does not give proper protection in our opinion.

  • This is a large Villa in a very peaceful and remote setting amongst olive groves. You will need a car as its about a 5 minute drive from the main road to Ostuni. It provides easy access to the beaches, Ostuni and the airport is only about 40 minutes away. The pool is huge and we all loved it and it is very private, The Villa was well equipped with a large DVD collection for when the kids needed a break from the sun/early evening before eating. Ostuni is a lovely place with lots of places to eat and drink in the historic centre with parking near by. We also had a few BBQ's. The food from the local supermarket is good quality and fresh so no problems eating well. The kids also enjoyed the safari park/zoo.

We had a very relaxing holiday once we got used to the local drivers!

Only possible negative point were the mosquito's in the evening although repellent and candles seems to keep them away. If they do bite its a small one anyway.
